Maria Orosan-Telea is an Assistant Lecturer of Art History at the Faculty of Arts and Design, West University, Timișoara. She received a Ph.D. degree from the West University, Timișoara in 2013. She specializes in contemporary art with a particular interest in post-communist Romanian art. She has published the books Pseudo-signification and Hyper-signification in Romanian Art Since 1990 (2014), Art Guide. An Introduction to Contemporary Romanian Art (2017). Her publications also include several other studies and articles in art journals and collective volumes such as: Relational Aesthetics in the Romanian Art After 1990, Revart, n. 21, 2014; Romania’s Participations at the Venice Biennale in the 90s.
